Gorgeous Vintage writing bureau hand-painted in a heritage cream colour

This beautiful writing bureau dates back to around the 1930’s and has been lovingly brought up to date with a hand-painted coat of Mortlake cream eggshell paint. The wooden areas have been gently sanded and then Danish Oiled to both protect and bring out the beauty of the grain. These bureaus make fantastic working desks and storage solutions for both living rooms and bedrooms. I’ve seen these used as fantastic comfortable spots to use one’s laptop. Gosh that means these old favourites can really be used with today’s modern devices.
